Worldcup kvitfjell 2008
Audi FIS Ski world cup in Kvitfjell took place at saturday the 1st and Sunday the 2nd of March.
Downhill and Super-G for men!
This is now the 13th year that Kvitfjell Hosts Alpine World Cup races, after the successful Olympics in 1994. Now, something went wrong this year. First, at the practice run at thursday, one of the skiers fell at "russerspranger" because the jump was to big. He broke his leg at this fall. Then, at Sunday, a new accident took place. The Austrian racer Matthias Lanzinger had to be treated at Ullevål University Hospital in Oslo after this serious accident in Kvitfjell.
They had to amputate his leg :( What a tragedy for a top athlete like him! Wish him well! |
